TPS origins can be traced back to March 1990, when it started as a small subcontractor for structural and architectural works. After two decades of hard work and perseverance, TPS has been registered with the Building & Construction Authority of Singapore (BCA) under the “A2” classification for general building (CW01).
Our relentless pursuit over the years as conscious builders has led us to receive these awards: ISO certification ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, BizSAFE STAR, BCA Green & Gracious Builder award.
Our years of dedication finally paid off when our first hotel project, The Orchid Hotel, located at Tanjong Pagar, won the BCA Construction Excellence Award in 2013. And now, we have 50 professionals and technical personnel, some of whom have served the company since the beginning.
Mr. Teo Ping Sing is the founder of TPS Construction Pte Ltd, a first-generation entrepreneur and pioneer in Singapore’s construction industry. While the company has grown manifold over the years, our vision has remained the same since the beginning.
Mr. Teo’s vision of leadership by example empowers all employees to conduct themselves in an exemplary manner. The company commits to customer satisfaction through the timely delivery of projects, enhanced through skilful workmanship and high safety standards.

Mr. Teo’s philosophy of Management By Walking About (or MBWA) encourages employees to bear witness to each stage of the construction process and needs.
As a homegrown entrepreneur, Mr. Teo strongly believes in social responsibilities and participates actively in improving the lives of the elderly and needy. The welfare and well-being of our migrant staff also have a special place in his heart.
No matter how hectic Mr. Teo’s schedule is, he never misses any of our traditional Deepavali celebrations or the giving of “Ang Pow” during the Lunar New Year.
